Our board is comprised of mainly working people, for whom 8 AM is out of the question! Is there collateral material and other possibilities for classes on the same topics? Most of us cannot take any more time off our jobs to attend talks like this, yet being a small non-profit club in a small demographic makes our survival very difficult! We could benefit from any of these topics. What do you suggest?

The monthly topics and speakers have been worthwhile, as has the chance to connect with fellow non-profit leaders in our area.

We are the Hands for Hope Foundation in Wallingford and would like to attend one of your meetings. It has been my thought that Nonprofits could work together to achieve more and was wondering how to make it happen in the Rutland County region. Fundraiser, your first and third questions are appropriate for this forum. The second is one you’ll have to figure out on your own. I have removed it since it does not fit with the aims of this site. Now, on to your questions:

1. Most blogging services have spam blockers and have the option of typing in a code in order to comment. WordPress uses Akismet, which works wonderfully, but other blogging programs have add ons or “plug ins” that help block spam. It helps to have all comments sent to your e-mail account so you can moderate them.

2. I have never heard of a virus infecting blogs. I doubt it’s possible.

We should remove VANPO since it does not exist now. Also is Faith in Action the correct name. I thought it had changed.
